The adventure slope The Snake combines piste with fun park and cross. The many waves, turns and jumps of The Snake are fun for young and old and an absolute must during a ski holiday in Nassfeld!
The 700-metre piste runs through a forest and includes 11 waves, two jumps and nine steep turns, as well as a Rainbow Box and a Butter Box. Here you can try to learn your first tricks. You will also find two high-five jibs and, as a highlight, a snail with a snow tunnel at the end.
Via the Lärchenbodenabfahrt, you can take the Cannon Hose Lift (no. 12) or the 6-seater Madritschen Chairlift (no. 10) to the slope The Snake.
On this slope it's all about one thing: speed! Start like a real ski jumper in the crouch, speed down the slope and shoot through the finish line at full throttle! During your descent, your speed will be measured live. At the end of the slope, you'll find out how fast you were. In addition, a photo will be taken of you as you cross the finish line. You can download this later with the number of your ski pass.
If you've always wanted to know how fast you can go on your skis or snowboard, this is the perfect opportunity to finally find out. Not satisfied with the result? Then try it again right away!
You can reach the speed photo track via the Trogkofelbahn (no. 22).
You would like to explore the ski resort Nassfeld by yourself, but you don't have an accommodation for your ski vacation yet? Then book a vacation home now at EuroParcs Pressegger See or EuroParcs Hermagor · Nassfeld, both of which are only about half an hour away by car.
You are not that skilled in skiing or snowboarding yet, but you would like to get into the adventure and not just go down the baby hill? Then try out the new kidslope "The Wave". Everyone has fun here, no matter if beginner or pro or if you're an adult or a kid. Therefore, this slope is also perfect for families with small children or groups with beginners.
In addition to a few steep turns and waves, there are also a few jumps here where daring beginners can test their previously learned skills. The varied slope is over 2 kilometers long and offers pure fun on the slopes!
You can get to the slope "The Wave" with the Mössernbahn.
These two race tracks have a lot of speed, so they are more suitable for experienced skiers. Here you can prove your skills in the giant slalom or the parallel giant slalom and at the end you will be rewarded with your very own ski movie, because you will be filmed during the descent. So not only will you have a blast downhill, but you'll also get a great souvenir video of your vacation right away.
The recording on the two race tracks can be started with the ski pass and with the ski pass number you can download the video later.
You will find the tracks on the piste map under the number 77 and you can reach them via the Zweikofel lift no. 23 or the Gartnerkofel chairlift no. 1.
Snowboarders can let off steam and try out new tricks in the snowpark of the Nassfeld ski area in the Gartnerkofel-Watschiger Alm area.
There is something for every skill level - from the flat box and the rainbow box for beginners to the monster kicker for pros. There is also a kicker line, public line and beginner line for different skill levels.
For beginners, there are also free snowboard and freeski workshops in the snowpark every Sunday from January. These are offered by the ShredSchool. Come along and improve your riding skills!
You can reach the snow park via the Watschiger Alm lift (no. 3) or via pistes 2 and 2a.
End an exciting day in the snow with a very special slope: The valley descent! It is 7.6 kilometers long, making it the longest slope in this ski resort. So strap on your skis again in the late afternoon instead of getting on the gondola and enjoy the last slope of the day.
This slope also has a very special feature: on Saturday evenings you are allowed to ski down the last part of the slope in the dark! Try it out and enjoy a very special atmosphere at the end of your skiing vacation.
On the piste map you will find the valley descent under number 80.
Even if it's already dark, you don't have to take off your skis. Because in the Nassfeld ski area, you can still whizz down a piste in the dark!
The Carnia valley run is one of the longest floodlit pistes in the Alps and offers you a very special view while skiing, as you can see both the lights of the town and the stars in the sky from the mountain.
Night skiing is possible on a 2.2 km section of the Carnia valley run (from Gmanberg) and takes place every Saturday evening in January and February from 20.01.2025 to 02.03.2025 (18:30 to 21:00).
For the perfect end to a great day on the piste, you can go to an après-ski bar afterwards and bring the day to a cosy close.
