The Clervaux region, with its eponymous capital Clervaux, is a very special and varied holiday destination. Here, rolling, wooded mountain slopes, flowing streams and charming villages alternate. For a cultural city visit or an adventurous nature holiday, this is the place to be.
In the northernmost tip of Luxembourg you will find the canton of Clervaux. The east side of this canton borders Germany and the north and west side borders Belgium. From this region, you can go in all directions! Within the compact region, travel times by car are no longer than half an hour. Here in the Luxembourg Ardennes, there are beautiful paths to be walked, which lead both along the cultural highlights of the city of Clervaux and through the Our valley. But Clervaux is also a fantastic destination for every type of cyclist. A big advantage is that public transport (with bike on board) is free throughout Luxembourg, so you can feel free to take your bike to other parts of the Grand Duchy. In the town of Clervaux, there is plenty for the cultural tourist to see and experience. For example, take a look at the life of the monks in the Benedictine Abbey of Clervaux, which was built at the beginning of the 20th century. You cannot miss the strikingly white Clervaux Castle in the centre of town either.
