Apeldoorn is an architecturally beautiful city: few high-rise buildings and many detached houses and villas. Apeldoorn is also a city with royal charm, because the Paleis Het Loo is located here. There is also nature to discover in and around Apeldoorn. Whichever EuroParcs you choose, you are never far from nature!
Although some of our parks are located in the middle of the Veluwe, you can also reach the centre of Apeldoorn within half an hour by car. Here you can go shopping in the indoor shopping centre Oranjerie or visit a museum, so you can have a nice day even if the weather is bad. The Caterplein is the centre of Apeldoorn for going out. We recommend a visit to the Orpheus Theatre, for example. Or take a walk through the listed residential area Berg en Bos and visit the Paleis Het Loo.
For your children, the Apenheul monkey forest, located just outside the centre of Apeldoorn, is highly recommended. Just like the Julianatoren children's amusement park with its ghost castle, roller coaster and bumper cars. Take a trip back in time together with the steam train through the Veluwe. The train goes to Beekbergen, Loenen and Eerbeek. In high season, it continues to Dieren, from where you can take the boat to Zutphen.
