Holiday parks in the province Antwerp

Variety in the province of Antwerp

The Flemish province of Antwerp is located in the north of Belgium and borders the Dutch provinces of Noord-Brabant and even a bit of Zeeland. Although the province is primarily known for its charming capital and other cultural cities such as Mechelen and Turnhout, many people are unaware that it also boasts a number of nature reserves with expansive forests and unusual animals. During your stay at one of our EuroParcs holiday parks in Antwerp, you will always be surrounded by nature, close to historic cities and near the most enjoyable outings with the family. Antwerp is therefore an excellent holiday destination for everyone!

Hiking and cycling paradise

The province of Antwerp has a large number of nature reserves, each with its own charm. The best known is the Kempen with its oak forests and fens, but do you know for example the Mechelen River area? For bird lovers this is the place to spot storks, but it also lends itself perfectly to relaxed walks along the flower fields. The Turnhouts Vennengebied is a magnificent heathland area with a 12.5-metre-high watchtower, also the habitat of the black-tailed godwit. You can go into nature with the children at Landschap de Liereman, where you can take them on a number of fun and short walks among the shetlanders and sheep. In the summer, it's lovely to spend time at Zilvermeer, near EuroParcs Zilverstrand. Antwerp is also a popular destination for cyclists because of the many beautiful cycling routes throughout the province.
