The Tulip Route in Flevoland is an annual event that takes place during the tulip flowering season. This year, EuroParcs is the proud sponsor of the Flevoland Tulip Route. This route passes by EuroParcs Zuiderzee and offers a unique opportunity to admire the flowering tulip fields up close. This route is also highly recommended for guests of EuroParcs de IJssel Eilanden. If you are staying at one of these parks, the Tulip Route Flevoland is definitely worth a visit!
Hop on your bike or walk and follow the Tulip Route along the flower fields, picturesque villages and beautiful lakes. Enjoy the breathtaking views and visit the various activities and events organised along the route. Along the way, there are several stops where visitors can obtain information about the tulips and other flowers, or buy something tasty to eat or drink. There is also the possibility to follow the route by car via a special app with fun audio clips. Besides the tulip fields, many other activities and events are organised along the route. Think, for example, of music performances, art markets, tastings and demonstrations. So there is something for everyone, making the Tulip Route a fun and versatile experience for young and old alike.
You can buy tickets for the car routes on the Tulip Route Flevoland website. At the starting point, you will receive a route map and a participant sticker for your car. This authorises you to use the non-public roads that are part of the routes. The length of the routes varies from year to year, but they are usually between 70 and 100 kilometres long. The routes are always round trips so that you end up back at the starting point at the end of the route.
You don't need a ticket for the cycle routes. If you want to visit the tulip fields on a cycle tour, you don't have to worry about anything else and can simply follow the signs. There is no walking route this year, but you can walk around the two holiday parks and admire the tulips regardless of the event.
Please note that it is forbidden to enter the tulip fields as they are the private property of the farmers. Photography from the edge of the field is of course permitted. There are also some picking fields along the routes where you can put together your own bouquet of tulips. Book your next holiday with EuroParcs now and enjoy the colourful tulips.
