The Dickens Feast (Dickens Festijn) takes place in Deventer every year. The 19th century English city of Charles Dickens is revived in all its glory in the center.

More than 950 characters from the famous books of this English writer come to life in the historic Bergkwartier: from Scrooge to Oliver Twist, from Mr. Pickwick to Christmas Carol Singers, from orphans to office clerks and genteel people. The Dickens Festijn in Deventer is recognized nationally and internationally as a Christmas event of special allure and quality.

Admission to this event is free. It will not be a festival as usual this year, but the Dickens Feast will continue in an adapted form. Normally more than 125,000 visitors come to this Christmas event! If you are spending the Christmas holidays in our holiday park EuroParcs De Achterhoek, you can drive to Deventer in half an hour.
