Blog Test Sleeping Camping at EuroParcs

During the weekend of 19 April 2024, we festively opened the camping season at EuroParcs with a special edition of Test Sleeping: Test Sleeping Camping. At 4 different EuroParcs campsites, we organised a fully catered Test Sleeping Weekend, at EuroParcs Gulperberg, Het Amsterdamse Bos, Ruinen and Hoge Kempen. In this blog, you can read the experiences of our Test Sleepers at each EuroParcs campsite!

1. EuroParcs Gulperberg (Limburg, NL)

When the first Trial Campers arrived at the top of the Gulperberg and were busy setting up their tents and folding trailers, the barbecue was already lit. The perfect opportunity to get to know each other at the start of the camping weekend. The children were happily playing with each other while the adults enjoyed a snack and a drink.

Saturday's programme was filled with fun activities. In the morning it was crafts in the theme of Kings' Day and in the afternoon an exciting children's bingo and swimming in subtropical swimming paradise Mosaqua. This pool is known for its spectacular water slides and wonderful swimming pools. By the way, during your stay at EuroParcs Gulperberg, you always get tickets for this. The evening was all about roasting marshmallows by the warm campfire with a live performance by a local singer.

On Sunday, an adventure scavenger hunt was organised for the children. With a treasure map and a compass, everyone bravely went in search of the pirate treasure chest, which was hidden somewhere on park. After the treasure hunt, the camping edition of Trial Sleeping at EuroParcs Gulperberg came to an end. Everyone said their goodbyes and look back on a pleasant weekend full of new memories.

EuroParcs Ruinen (Drenthe, NL)

On Friday, the test campers arrived at EuroParcs Ruinen full of enthusiasm. Upon arrival, guests received a welcome bag filled with nice surprises and treats. Despite the rain, the atmosphere was cosy and guests immediately started setting up their caravans, motorhomes, tents and rooftents. In the evening, a tasty buffet was organised in the restaurant. With an assortment of pasta, pizza, baguettes and chips, there was something for everyone.

The next morning, fresh rolls were waiting at reception, perfect for breakfast in the morning sunshine on the camping field. So the day started well and became even more fun with two entertainment activities for the children: The All-rounder and Fun Football. Guests enjoyed the beautiful location and surroundings of the park. Despite the rainy weather forecast, fortunately some sunny moments could also be enjoyed. The Saturday evening ended with a campfire, marshmallows, tasty drinks and fun music. It was a wonderful end to a day full of fun.

On Sunday, after a breakfast of fresh rolls and a creative craft morning, it was time to say goodbye. The Test Sleep Weekend at EuroParcs Ruinen was a success and definitely worth repeating!

3. EuroParcs Hoge Kempen (Limburg, BE)

We look back on an amazing weekend! With the check-in, guests received a welcome pack. Once everyone had set up camp, it was time to grab a bite to eat. We kicked off the camping weekend with a cosy welcome dinner, perfect for getting to know each other!

Saturday morning we woke up to a filled camping field among the trees of EuroParcs Hoge Kempen. The Trial sleepers woke up to fresh croissants. For the smallest participants, a cool magic show was organised by Magic Raymen, one of our Fun Heroes. From jokes and pranks to floating tables, the show was a hit! In the afternoon, the programme continued with a great laser game activity. On Saturday evening, we enjoyed the Party Bingo Night. But this was not just any bingo. We were taken on a trip around the world within an hour and a half, from Mexico to France. To conclude, there was another live singer.

On Sunday morning, we enjoyed fresh rolls for breakfast. Then we rolled up our creative sleeves during craft morning. This was the last activity of an enjoyably busy weekend. In the afternoon, everyone went home again.

4. EuroParcs Het Amsterdamse Bos (North Holland, NL)

Our Trial campers were welcomed to EuroParcs Het Amsterdamse Bos with a welcome bag. This included vouchers for the pizza food truck, 2 drinks, a welcome booklet, colouring pictures and crayons for the children and some goodies for with drinks. The party was complete after the check-in and it was time for a delicious pizza from the food truck. Even though the evening programme could not go ahead due to the weather, it was enjoyable.

On Saturday morning, fresh sandwiches with spreads were distributed. Guests could also enjoy a nice cup of coffee or tea to warm up. Then it was time for some exercise! The 2 entertainment activities we had on the programme were XXL Bamboo Building and Archery Tag. Both the little ones and adults really enjoyed these. The rest of the day our Tasting Campers had all the freedom they needed to explore Amsterdam.

On Sunday, we started the day again with a tasty breakfast. With that, the Trial Camp Weekend programme came to its end. Our guests had the choice to stay an extra night. Despite the bad weather, we had an enjoyable camping weekend!
