Sniffing out nature and culture

Not only can you enjoy cycling and walking in Nationaal Park Utrechtse Heuvelrug, you can also experience culture on the estates and around castles. For example, Huis Doorn, Slot Zeist and Kasteel Duurstede, which is surrounded by a moat. Another must is a visit to the Beauforthuis, a theatre café in the woods near Austerlitz. Pyramid of Austerlitz and heathlands

On the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, you can see for miles. At watchtower De Kaap in Doorn for example. The Pyramid of Austerlitz in Woudenberg is also special. It is the highest point in the Utrechtse Heuvelrug and was built in 1804 as a tribute to Napoleon. It is located in the middle of the woods and you can eat pancakes or have a drink in the area. It is also close to the Leusderheide where you can take a walk.
